This first of a six-part series will provide the students a with the foundational understanding of all of the concepts and principles of Lean Thinking. It will create a vision of how a complete and full program is introduced and initiated in any business organization. Examples of successful Lean implementations will be provided to allow students to begin to envision how such a program would work in their business conditions. Students will be encouraged to bring actual business situations a demonstrate how one would transition from concepts to a working model that obtains the results that are stated in their Company’s goals and objectives.
